If you want less movements to go back/forward, open/close tabs, and open links with your browser, you’ll need to get this Firefox plugin called Mouse Gestures to do so. Personally, it’s already cut wasted time at work. image

Here are the commons gestures I use:

  • Closes tab or window: write L
  • Back to previous page: write right to left
  • Forward to next page: write left to right
  • Open link in new tab: write upwards crossing the link to open
  • Open link in new window: write downwards crossing the link to open

What I mean by “writing” is holding down the left mouse button while performing the action.

If you need a visual, you can go here. Hope this helps.

Here’s a great article I highly recommend you read.  It’s only 3 paragraphs long, but is a must-read.

What the article comes down to is when one visualizes his/herself from a third-person perspective (like watching a movie), he/she will more likely achieve greater things.

Meet Buster Martin.  At 101 years old, he’s a rock star, a marathon runner, and a counselor to the young for FHM magazine.  Check out this video where Pete Townsend’s My Generation song is remaked.

MIT calls it Assist Sketch Understanding System and Operation. As the video description states, you need to see it to understand it. Very cool…

It’s not a free program, but there is a free app called Phun that is somewhat similar.

Sad thing what politics – or for that matter, jobs that cause unhealthy stress – can do to a man…take Tony Blair, for example. From the BBC, here are pictures of him, showing how he has aged in 10 years. Yes, he is successful; yes, he is wealthy, but whoa, he’s aged a lot! In 10 years?!

With how government and the world tries to manage this thing called life, it’s been confirmed in studies that chronic stress does hasten aging. Read this article to find out more.

So my question to you is: Is politics or a job full of [unhealthy] stress worth it? (There is good stress – the one that makes us grow.)

Hopefully, this sparks something in you wherein it changes your perspective for the good. And for me and my family, our goal is to lead a quiet life and enjoy it while it lasts. I hope it’s the same for you and if so, do your best and try to do something about it. I know it’s easier said than done, but try.  I will.  =0)
