You read the title right. A customer worried about Y2K had placed a call to Microsoft tech support 10 years ago, but only got a call back on 1/8/08. This is nuts!
Here’s the explanation: The customer called on 1/7/98, and the rep noted a call back for the next day. Unfortunately, however, rather than typing 1/8/98, the rep typed 1/8/08 because ‘8’ and ‘9’ are so close together.
